Game of Thrones Season 5 will feature a 14th century Moorish Spanish castle called the Alcazar of Seville. It will possibly double as the Water Gardens of Dorne. Fans of the books will know this palace as the home of the Martell’s. They will undoubtedly have some pretty interesting discussions about missing family member Prince Oberyn Martell. We’ll only have to wait 10 months for Game of Thrones Season 5 and hopefully less than 2 or 3 episodes to find out what takes place here.
I am sure the Spanish are super excited. A hit show with such a dedicated following can only mean cha-ching on the tourism dollars. Belfast, Ireland has seen a nice boost in tourism from being showcased on the TV series with a recent visit from the Queen of England. Game of Thrones Season 5 returns to HBO in the Spring of 2015
