If you’re like me and you hate having to plug in your laptop when you want to stream something then The Roku 3 is the perfect solution. Roku 3 is a set top streaming device similar to Apple TV or Google TV, but much better. Why ? Roku 3 is the top of the line Roku device. It’s feature full and not super expensive. It streams video at 720p HD and 1020p HD. For non techie people that means the picture looks real good. It’s packed with all your favorite apps like Netflix, Hulu Plus, Amazon Prime, and HBO GO. There’s also access to streaming music services like Rdio, Spotify and Pandora. Sports fans can even tune into live pro baseball, hockey, basketball and soccer games. You can even load photos on a microSD card and see them on your television.
Roku 3 is WIFI compatible and is easily moved between rooms. Just plug it in and insert your HDMI cable and you’re good to go. Yep, it’s that simple. The device comes with an Ethernet port incase you’re giving it to someone that must have a hardwired Internet connection. If you’re an Apple person and you’re curious about playing your Apple TV content you can play anything on an Apple device using Plex. No you don’t have to buy anything extra it comes preloaded on your Roku. You’ll be able to stream anything with the exception of stuff you’ve stored in your iCloud.
The best thing about Roku 3 is it’s user interface and content. For a product with so much content they could have really screwed this up. However, the menus are easy to read and navigate. It has something for everyone kids, young professionals and seniors.
